My dog Ginger died last night/early morning (10-08-'06).
She was very very sick in the past week. She refused to eat and/or drink.
She was 7 years old (we had her for 5 years). We adopted her from a pet shelter, she used to be a street dog.
She was such a good dog. Always happy to see you, and always kind. She wasnt very friendly or active, but she was so sweet.
I had to give her a medicine this morning. When I woked up today, it was sunny and warm (the pervious days were cold), and I was thinking she'd love laying in the sun & that it would help her to feel better.
But when I went downstairs, my house-maid told me Ginger died.

I still can't believe it.

I will miss Ginger so much! She was so happy I came back from London.
I hope she's in a better place now, happier.

R.I.P Ginga, I'll miss you.

At least you got to spend some time with her before she passed. That would have been horrible to come home from your travels and find out she died while you were gone.

aww im so sorry for your loss, i have always had pets since i was little and i know how attatched a person can get to a pet,

she looked like such a sweet dog, is there any chance of getting another pet? i dont mean to replace ginger, i mean there are loads of homeless dogs in the shelters waiting for a lovely owner like you to take them home...

anyway im sorry for your loss...

DOH! First sign that a dog is on its way out is when they stop eating or drinking. We had a yellow lab pass away last year from cancer, and she refused to eat for 3-4 days until she was put down.

Life is extremely cruel this way, in that dogs occupy large portions of our hearts and souls (well, us dog lovers hearts and souls) only to be taken from us in such short amounts of time.

Dogs should live to be 70, not 10.

i am sorry to hear about your loss OJ i have had the same happen resently but it was my cate he did'nt eat for about 3 days and went out and did'nt come back!!!
