Just putting this out there to see who has similar hobbies. Our biggest hobby as a family is camping. Every summer we plan a trip to a new destination that we haven't visited. It's a good way to show my daughter the good ole' USA. Might be boring to some people but I used to go on more conventional vacations and I would say that you find only the nicest people at campgrounds all over the country, not so true of "resort" areas. Anyone else have any input?

Steer clear of Starved Rock State Park when the kids are on summer break... not so condusive to family type outings during those weeks.

I enjoy Camping with my family too!
A year ago Me, TEK , and our family went up in the Uintas! it was fun! Something different.
But we feared bears!! lol

aww now that is sweet 123 that you are showing your daughter the good ole usa lol I have to say i have never been camping altho i certainly do like the idea of sleeping under the stars its just something i have'ne had the chance to try yet i have stayed in a caravan tho and that was cool.
