I was just wondering if anybody in here was a mechanic mastermind on GMC trucks. I have a 1995 GMC Yukon and the brake light switch went out on it last night. I was wondering if anybody knew an easy way to replace the switch as I've already purchased the switch and just need to know how to put it on.

you have to flip the toggle next to the wobbulator shaft, then short curcuit the flux capacitor by crossing the thingamajig with the whatchamacallit. then loosen the screws and slide it right in.

I just googled "replacing a brake light switch 1995 GMC Yukon" and had plenty of hits including: http://www.automotivehelper.com/cat184-4

You may want to stop at a automovie repair store and purchase a Haynes or Chilton Repair manual that show you step by step on repairs including overhauls. If they are pricy you may want to check the library.

Hey don't forget to change the relative bearing grease while you are at it!

I've never replaced the switch in any GM product as I typically get rid of it just as it starts to break down, but are you talking about the switch the kicks the brake lights on as you press the pedal, or is it a relay after the switch?

If its something you can do with a repair manual do it. The dealerships are assholes and are mildly retarded at best when it comes to ANYTHING.
