It seems as though Ugoto.com has changed.

Those on my Buddy List, mostly Site Veteran or above are hardly on.

Like the early days of Ugoto a majority of the submission seem to be from Joe or Katt. It hasn't been like that until lately. Now it seems everyone just posts a blog of a photo without going through "normal" submission procedures.

The comments use to be better than the post itself, it just doesn't seem to be that way anymore. I'm not talking about the old days, just a month or two ago.

I welcome newcomers, it helps keep the site fresh, giving new insight to things. Just a few months ago it seemed that we all agreed to disagree but to repsect each other's opinion, backing up our thoughts with fact.

Recently there have been many blogs about what we are mad about. I believe Alex had a blog titled "Can't We All Get Along" in the midst of the mudslinging of blogs and comments.

I direct this question to those that have been on the site for 3 months or more. Has it changed? Is it permanent or....

am I off base?

i think you are right ugoto has changed that may or may not be a good thing some things are ok but some new people come in here and disrespcet the people that have been here for a while then there is alot of hostility like how i was disrepsected by someone who felt like using stereotypes but i am now ok with that person i never wanted to be mean i just didnt like someone making me out to be something im not

ugoto has changed but it changed very slowly so we almost didn't notice but when u have a look back it was just much difernt. Ugoto just doesent seem as funny anymore

Change is inevitable.

What I suggest is, if you don't like the direction in which the site is going, help it to go another way. Don't just give up. Do something about it.
For example, post a fun "game", or something to that effect, in a blog. One that users can really interact with via the comments.
Katt has done many of those & they all turn out quite well.
In the end, this site can only be as cool as it's users.

To paraphrase JFK, "Ask not what your site can do for you, ask what you can do for your site."

I don't know much about clothes. But, my hair looks feirce !!!

As usual, Sarah, quite right! Although the site has had an influx of younger members, the basic premise of the site remains the same, and that is that it's USER DRIVEN...powered by the submissions and commentary of it's users. Thats my story, and I'm sticking to it!

I don't have to attend every argument I'm invited to.

This is an age in which one cannot find common sense without a search warrant.

It's still summer.
The same thing happened last summer.
As soon as school got out, there was this flood of teenage retards.
As soon as late August-September came along, they all went away. Most of them never came back.
Give it a month ... they'll get all wrapped up in school & forget all about us.

i agree with the statment that the comments were as funny if not more funny than the original pic/vid - im getting sick and tired or the bullshit becoming everyday on this site such as - "bloody women drivers, yay im the first to post and so on.....meh *goes back to sleep*
