i am collecting information about king tutankhamen can anybody help me i know that i could have found it on google or anywhere else but i want to know your opinion about him as i am also doing a survey about him and his curse so people i dont want you to search it from google and paste it on your comments but i want your opinion whether its right or wrong your opinion for the survey thanks

well, if i remember correctly, he was forced to change his name to Tutankhamen after he became pharoah. His father was Ahkenaten (sp??) who really pissed off the priests by making Aten, the Sun God, the main diety.

Once Ahkenaten died, almost all trace of him was erased, and his son, Tutakenaten (sp?), was made to change his name to Tutankhamen.

As far as the curse goes....I don't believe in any curses. None. Period Not a one. Interesting to read about perhaps, but not real.

Here's where the "worthless information" comes in handy!

The curses were in fact placed all the pharohs and the like. When the pyramids and other artifacts that had mummified were opened those that opened them were killed by toxins from the mumificaiton(sp) process. They died then or afterwards and the "curse" thing stuck!

I agree. When collecting INFORMATION there is really no reason to go out collecting facts and doing research. Its been found that the best way to learn about something is to just make something up and regurgitate it. Who cares if its factually correct anyways?
