I blame it on society and bad parenting. Kids have free access to the internet and all the bad that comes with it. It's the parents' responsibility to teach their children about those dangers. If they don't teach them about the dangers, and educate themselves on how to restrict access to things they don't want their kids to see, then I think the parents are failing their job.

I think I remember read the article on here a couple days ago, but I don't remember how old she is. The whole story about how she told her mother she wanted to go to Canada with friends so she needed a passport made me wonder just how intelligent her mother really is. In my opinion, her mother should have said no, or said they will go together to Canada.

Unfortunately, if that girl has said she will run back there again, I don't think there is too much to be done except let her go and screw up her life. At this point, I think the only way she'll learn is the hard way. Let her go and screw up her life.

It's obvious kids aren't very mature when they think they are in love with somebody they've only talked to on the internet and never met. Again, her parents need to at this point rule over her life like a dictator.

I think it's a self-esteem problem with the kid/parent. I tell my two kids how much I love them each day, so does my wife, but we really, really do.

That girl who went to the middle east to meet the arab/palastinian guy, is quite dumb. I think he brain washed her. She's brave for going there. But you never know how things will go there. She could have been kidnapped.
And why would anyone want to go to live in the middle east in some crappy town or village?
