For the gauss rifle, you need to make a solenoid, a very accuarte one at that. Solenoids can be difficult to make unless you want to sit at a lathe slowly winding wire around a tube. The Tesla coil might need to much power output put that would be awesome. The Ladder seems the most feasible because i think i might be able to manage it. It's like th capacitor i built, i atached copper wire to parts of it to release the charge. Using a transformer with a rod at the end, we shocked it and watched as sparks flew across the gap between the capacitor and metal wire.

notthing to do with what you asked but still fun as hell. buy a 24 case of real cheap off brand ginger ale or root beer. and go out in a field or sumtin (not next to a highway) give the cans a good shake and shoot em. they make a nice big boom if you shoot em with a 30.06 or a 7.62mm! or a 38. or 9mm will do just fine either way.or buy like a value pack of cheap lighters and shoot them. and for added fun taket that can of root beer, empty it. and fill it with lighter fluid or some kind of accelerent and shoot it! KABOOM!

I have no idea what you are talking about. However I did notice that you spelled 'solenoid' correctly. That is one of the most misspelled words in the english language.

As far as what to do to keep you busy, how about a robot maid like the Jetsons? I'd pay big moola for that.

Build yourself a linear accelerator. I've seen plans on rail guns on line that someone could build.

I own a full blown machine/fab shop and have thought about tackling the project, except I do'nt know much about the electronic guts. I know about Lorenz Force and such, and have people that can help me, but it would be a fantasic project to build a mini rail gun.

Something fast enough to get a plasma ball out of.

The only thing about a mini rail gun is that to get a current atrong enought to propel somethin via tis electrmagnetic push, you need something like a lathe so that the coils are perfect. Otherwise you can wrap all day and the electromagnetic field prodiced will be to low to push anything. I suppose you could compensate for this by upping the voltage .
