ok its was a couple years since i heard this so ill do the best i can to recreate from memory. here go's
a boy graduated from high school and was very happy. almost all of his friends got a car. so his dad got the idea to take him down to the local car dealership to pick out one he wanted. he picked out a candyapple red mustang. a week later his dad came to him and said heres you graduation present son! and handed him a book that was wrapped up. he opened it with a huge grin on his face. and what he saw made him furious. it was a bible. he threw it down on the coffe table and stormed out of the house. he never spoke to his father for 30 years. untill one day his mother called him and said that his father had passed away. he came home and sat down to comfort his mother. he looked at the coffee table and there was the bible. covered in dust. he picked it up and said "i wonder why he got this for me" as he leafed through the pages, there was a check made out to him for the exact price of a new mustang. stuck between the pages.

People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.
