here is a new code out like "lol" or "brb". this one is a lil different. u all know how it feels when your talking to someone online and someone is standing behind you lookin at everything you type. to solve that problem, now we have started the "code SOS" (Someone Over Shoulder) system. u simply press "SOS" when someone is watching over ur shoulder as u type.that way, the other person will know what ur talkin about and start talkin about homework or something. when they leave, press "SOSG" (Someone Over Shoulder Gone) again so u can go back to having a normal conversation again. NOW SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST SO CODE SOS CAN SPREAD

I think if you are under 18, using your parents computer, in their house, you SHOULD NOT use SOS. But instead get the fuck off of their computer and go outside and play. Its their house, and you're a minor. They own you like a slave.

What is sad is a lot of parents DGAS (don't give a shi*), the kids are quiet and they aren't interferring with my tv time.

Once again I agree with Monkey, I believe in the No Child Left Inside philosophy. I remember as a kid (as the earth cooled) being outside by 8am and had to be home before the street lights came on. When I force my kid out on his bike, his complaint is that there are no kids around, which is true. Last summer you couldn't tell it was summer vacation because there were no kids around!

People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.

It's a very different world indeed.

I walked to school (or rode the Pteradactyl...) and never feared for my safety.

And my parents were the beginning and end of my happiness. They ran the place and I was lucky to have them.

I see a lot less parental respect these days.

Oh - and I walked to school UPHILL BOTH WAYS, dammit!

Exactly, didn't you see the cooked head I posted? That was one of the wild animals I wrestled with my bare hands. I had to start the fire to cook it by rubbing two sticks together.

That is why we have the "ignore user" feature.

Rather than asking someone to change their opinions or style, simply click the "ignore user" feature and you won't have to read comments by that person.

I don't expect a veteran of the site like Monkey to change his style for you. Click "ignore user" instead.

Hey Katt, I know this and I didn't mention religion, not now at least. I really didn't mean anything bad by my comment. As I said I was just giving my opinion, and as I said I don't want to ignor him or anyone else - I like reading all comments. I am not asking anyone to change, but there is always room for personal growth and betterment. I for one don't mind constructive critisim or advice -- I may not take it but I don't mind getting it. I hope Monkey wasn't offended -- that was not my intentions at all.

Monkey has been a member of this site from the beginning. Asking him to change his behavior over the F-bomb on a site that features pictures of half-naked women is inappropriate.

There are wiccans, buddhists, atheists and others on this site who aren't asking people to tone down Christian verbage. So, in my opinion an occasional F-bomb should be ignored and a veteran user should not be called out for it.

The problem with this post is that it is about 8 years late. I was using this when I was in highschool, as were hundreds of other people, and it wasn't necessarily something just for parents. It's for school, too when doing things that you're allowed to, that are just frowned upon by most teachers. Or, in the case of parents, it's not always what you're talking about. Simply that you're talking that is the issue. If you're supposed to be doing homework, and you hear someone coming while you're taking a "break," you don't want something to start flashing on your screen or making noise while you're showing them what you've gotten done so far.

Long story short, it's been around a long time, and evolved on its own.
