A full hour is one unit.

.87 of an hour would be 87% of an hour.

It's a more mathematical way of measuring.

Measuring one hour is not being done with units of 60, so the minutes would not be calculated like minutes on a clock face.

Think of an hour as a pie graph. One hour is 100%. That's how this system is calculating your time here.

I kinda figured that one, but at midnight when the Top Users resets, how did someone last night get 2.something hours, another had 1.3 hours and it's only 12:30 a.m.? Don't really care just curious.

I have noticed that many times myself. It obviously cant be very accurate.

Time wasted section is updated every hour or two to keep load down on the servers. Although it is calculated in real time, the stats on the right as well as on the top page are cached.

I think I understand, since you rarely see the 1.something and 2.something people there the next day. So does it catch up on the daily top users? A little knowledge is dangerous at times!
