im tired of all this crap about all these people saying "SAVE THE.PLANET!" its the most ignorant thing ive ever heard. we cant even take care of eachother! or ourselves. let alone the earth. the earth has been around for about 5 billion years. and weve only been engaged in heavey industry for about 150years. the earth has been through ice ages.hurricanes. worldwide floods, metor showers. earth quakes. fires. tornados. hail the size of base balls. and we think a couple of plastic bags and aresol cans are gonna destroy the planet! the earth is fine THE PEOPLE are fucked.

You're right. But you cant ignore that 'the people' are harming earth. All its been through were narural processes, but what humans do, its not always natural and can interfer with earth's natural processes (e.g pollution and ozone layer, and polluting waters).
So i think, that anytime you can help reduce the pollution it wont harm at all, both for human, natural & the whole earth itself.
Cuz after all, remmber that in the end, all these distruction is gona harm YOU, your family, friends, etc...

Sorry its long. Did Geography in A-levels, can write/talk about it alot.

I agree 100%. The people that think George Bush can alter the planet are nuts. We do need to keep our pollution in check, but the extent some of these whack jobs go to is rediculous.

I think rather than all of us live in hemp tents and eat tree bark, it makes more sense to be moderate, learn how to deal with the problems we have, make it cleaner, but the earth is going to do what it does anyway.

I'd be willing to bet there is more methane from the oceans due to dead and farting fish every day, than there will be from humans over the course of our entire existance.

Hey Petergriffin, we both know I dont agree with some of the things you say and I dont like the cursing; however, I have to agree with you here! The world will be around until God want's to end it!!!!!!! And your right about people not taking care of others or themselves most of the time! But we can be more "earth" conscience and pullute less, that would help us live healthier and in nicer suroundings. I also want to commend you on saying some surprisingly mature stuff at times in your comments to others -- when (with all respect) you're not being a jerky teenager!

Have you been watching George Carlin recently? What you said sounded exactly what he said. I'm not offended. In fact I agree whole-heartedly. I just noticed some similarities in your speech and his. People like to say they don't think of themselves, they only think of the planet. Well that's just a load of crap. Like you said the planet is fine. If we were all to die in nuclear war, the planet would still be here glowing as bright as ever. These activists are just worried about their own well being.

I have to make just a little comment on this so here goes..................................the planet is in danger of pollotion (sp?) but if everone was just a little more consious (sp?) about this fact then that would help a great deal, what gets up my nose is our govenment is trying everything to reduce the amount of cars on the road like more tolls and congestion tax etc. but just airplane journey creates just as much gases that damage the ozone layer as your car would left running for the rest of your LIFE!!!!!!!!
