If you grew up in the Northeast from the 60's thru the 70's WABC was the top 40 station. At night it could be heard in 33 states. Cousin Brucie, Dan Ingram, and Harry Harrison were some of the greates DJ's to cover this era.
Current WABC jock Mark Simmone has brought back oldies radio Saturday Nights 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (eastern time). The Saturday-night show will feature music that was played on WABC in the '60s and '70s, chats with artists from the era and old jingles and airchecks from WABC's vast archives, don't reach for your anti-flashback medication!
Now you don't even need a raidio, listen to it on the net at: http://www.wabcradio.com/ another great link to past archives of WABC radio is: http://www.musicradio77.com/
Take a listen tonight and post comments here during and after the show. It's a great blast from the past, May 7th is the 24th anniversary the day the music died when WABC switched to all talk radio so I'm sure there will be a lot of mention of it on this weeks show.
