An interruption or divine appointment?

[The Lord said,] "I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the furthest corners of the earth." When the Gentiles heard this, they were very glad and thanked the Lord for his message; and all who were appointed to eternal life became believers.

Jesus wants us to see that neighbor next door or the people sitting next to us on a plane or in a classroom are not interruptions to our schedule. They are there by divine appointment. Jesus wants you to see their needs, their loneliness, their longings, and he wants to give us the courage to reach out to the them.

The world is full of people who have been crying out to God in the quiet desperation of their hearts or in the darkness of a long night. God has been working in their lives and stirring a desire for Him. He wants to use us to be a light to them and bring them the good news of hope in Jesus Christ. Ask thatthe Holy Spirit show you those in your path who need to be the recipients of your prayers. He will help you to build relationships with them and be a vessel through whom God can share his love.

Well, only if you are not "saved" to begin with and if you are saved the Holy Spirit will help you stop saying it (it will not happen over night - bad habits are hard it break).

But Yes, you can go to hell for that - it is breaking one of the ten commandments - Thou shall not take the Lord God's name in vain.
You are using His name like it has no importance. We do not go around saying OH My Devil; Oh MY King; OH My President; Oh My etc........!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not really give you an answer for that, except that everyone is born and dies -- What happens after that is what really matters. If you beleive in God and have accepted Jesus as your Savior - than you will have eternal life in Heaven.

sorry i did'nt actually ask that question correctly!!! I meant why does he let good people die in horrible ways like cancer, aids etc. I have to say i wish i could believe i really do but with what my mums going through i find it very hard!!!!

I'm sorry your mom is going through anykind of suffering and or pain. I don't know why God allows "good" people to go through such things. But please do contact me provately at my 360 -- I would like to share 3 stories with you that hopefuly will help you to deal with your mom's hard times.
