does any one now why they made MLA so damn difficult? did they have to make you put semicolon after an author name but only in the third night of november or something like that. I bet that the guys that created the MLA format are right now in a bar laughing at people that use it.

I hated doing those things. I had found a website way back when that asked you the author, etc and it generated it for you. Pretty neat:

MLA is a specific format used to cite your sources when writing a paper. Its a standard that many professors have leaned toward so that it is easy to distinguish the author from the title from the year from the book from the article and so on.

Its rather annoying, especially when writing a 20-40 page term paper where you used dozens of research methods. Making it even more confusing is that each type has a different format: Internet, book, article, online article, journal, etc.
