Ever Feel You Spend Too Much Time On The Computer?

Little Girls Say The Darnest Things
Next

In trying to get this website up and running, I put in some pretty long days working on the computer. When I finally manage to creep away from my monitor and hop into bed, it is almost as though I'm still on the computer. My mind is still thinking, and its as though I'm still looking at my screen.

Have any of you stopped doing something, but still felt as though you are still doing it? Maybe this picture will explain my thoughts a little better.

Ugh.

I can relate. When I'm knee-deep in a project, it follows me everywhere.

Sometimes I even dream about it.

How much does a life cost, anyway? I think I need to buy one!

What is this 'life' that you speak of? I'm unfamiliar with that word.

That happens to me too. Before my company devision was sold off from the much larger corporation that owned it I had to put together a phone list of every single employee. I went home and dreamt it was already done. I woke up smiling until I realized it was just a dream

It is stories like this that make a software consultant cringe. Noone in any company of more than 50 people should ever have to "create a phonelist". HR software should be maintained that generates phonelists and every other type of list imaginable AUTOMATICALLY.

It amazes me how much money some companies will waste having employees do such tasks, just to avoid spenging about 10% of that on software.

Tell me about it, No one seems to like taking responsibilty for something as simple as a phone list.

Awesome pic, might be a cool way to play video games. But I dunno that I would want a monitor of that size over my head. Might not mind a flat screen though.

This was the beginning, is it now the end?

People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.
